The Control Utility Team will support multiple business lines including securities lending, benefit payments and 401k operations.

Some roles of this position include:
- Reconcile several payment accounts on a daily basis and apply a proactive approach to monitoring cash break items
- Achieve a working knowledge of each of the business lines supported by the team - Including revenue and cash flows for each
- Track the accrual and payments of loan interest on a daily, monthly, and annual basis
- Monitor the correct processing and delivery of wire and ACH payments and be able to investigate the root-cause analysis of any issues that may have occurred
- Understand and analyze business system reporting capabilities and explore ways to improve reports
- Account for and certify all internal account balances on a monthly basis
- Track and log any manual transactions made between ERISA qualified accounts
- Handle a larger work and reporting load during the change of months
- Build an awareness of Financial and Operational Risk and be proactive in offering insights into how to better manage them
- Support internal clients at various career levels and ensure that requested information is provided promptly and concisely
- Close down the data capture system at the end of the day to ensure that all journal entries are posted to the proper ledger

- Ensure adherence of operational procedures to complete tasks in an accurate and timely manner
- Analytical ability to understand cash flows, business systems, and operating models
- Experience in business writing with ability to compose clear and concise emails to stakeholders at various levels of an organization
- A strong understanding and commitment to preserving client confidentiality and material non-public information
- Ability to perform in a fast paced environment and handle multiple tasks through effective prioritization
- Ability to work both independently and as a contributing member of a larger team
- Ensure to document procedures and identify requirements for additional controls as required
- Ability to understand key department metrics and a curiosity of new ways to interpret them
- Respond to internal client inquiries in a timely manner with concise accurate information
Minimum Qualifications & Skills:
- Proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint & MS Outlook)
- Experience with reconciliation, budgeting and financial reporting
- Strong written communication skills
- Effective time management and prioritization skills
- Ability to work under pressure and may be required to be flexible in work hours
- A careful attention to detail while operating within a control environment
Preferred Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Preferred Majors include: business, accounting, or finance field is recommended
- Educational experience with Information Systems is also a desired quality
- A basic understanding of SQL Concepts or data manipulation tools
- Work experience within a financial services related organization
- An understanding of or experience with using Visual Basics
